BENJAMIN PITMAN

ATTORNEY

Benjamin Pitman specialises in financial remedy and private children work. He is regularly instructed in high net worth proceedings with an international dimension.

Before transferring to the Bar (call: 2024), Benjamin practised as a specialist family law solicitor for five years, qualifying in 2019. During that period he worked on high net worth divorce work, including Rotenberg v Rotenberg & Ors [2024] EWFC 185, where he helped represent the 7th respondent in proceedings concerning assets reported to be in the region of £1.8bn. He also negotiated a mid-nuptial agreement for a client with £100m in assets and acted as lead solicitor in a £3m cross-jurisdictional financial remedy case.

Benjamin’s children practice includes relocation disputes and cases involving allegations of parental alienation. He is an active member of Resolution and the Resolution Cohabitation Committee, having co-presented on cohabitation issues at the 2023 Resolution conference. He also undertakes pro bono work, including volunteering with the BPP Free Legal Advice Clinic and Families Need Fathers.
